a special esparto workshop in May 2019

Esparto workshop 2019, Chelva ( Valencia ) Spain.

In the second half of May ( 20 – 25 ) I will organise an esparto basket making workshop in Chelva, the village were I live. It will be a four days course with lessons in the morning ( 4 hours ) and one morning we will go out to pick esparto grass . The afternoons are free for working on your own or making some beautiful hikes in the surrounding mountains. You will stay in an old village house, equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, living/dining room, 4 bedrooms, a terrace and a big working space. If you are interested please write me an email and I will give you details and prices. There is a maximum of 4 students.

Trammelant bolso

Primer premio para el "trammelant bolso" en el certamen internacional de les fibres vegetals en la modalidad diseño, un certamen organizado por el Museu de la Pauma, Mas de Barberans, Tarragona. 
El bolso es un capazo de tamaño mediano, hecho en esparto picado y trenzado y con una tira de cuero amarillo. Esta inspirado en los felpudos de cuerda usada, los que hicieron los marineros holandeses durante su estancia en el mar. Trammelant significa alboroto.

First price for the "trammelant bag" at the internacional concours of plant fibers in the category design, a concours organised by the Museu de la Pauma, Mas de Barberans, Tarragona.
The bag is a medium sized wicker, made of plaited esparto and a yellow leather band. It´s inspired by rope mats made by dutch seamen during their passage at sea. Trammelant means chicanery.

bote con llave de paso

Un nuevo producto de Eugenia y Simone. Botes de cerámica blanca con tapa de esparto con una llave. Titulo " botes con llave de paso". La llave es una copia de la llave que todos tenemos para abrir una puertecita que da acceso al agua potable.

A new product of Eugenia y Simone. White ceramic bins with an esparto lit and a white key. The title is " bins with key to get in ". The key is a copy of a key we all have to open our little water doors for our drinking water.
